Alongside the flagship Xperia 1, the mid-range Xperia 10 has a very tall and narrow 21:9 display – turn it on its side and it is a mini cinema in your pocket, the same dimensions that many films are shot in. But when a phone’s performance is so poor and unremarkable it’s difficult to recommend. For the price (or less) there are much better options on the market. It’s a shame after the decent Xperia XA2 that the Xperia 10 is decidedly average....

The W30T does make a good first impression, with aluminium keyboard and 13.3-inch screen panels that look smart and feel very sturdy. It has the same detachable design as HP’s more expensive Spectre X2, which allows you to separate the screen from the keyboard so that you can use the screen as a self-contained tablet. Problems for Blizzard Entertainment, the game’s creator, started when it switched to a new local operator for World of Warcraft in China, online gaming company NetEase. New operators of foreign games have to submit the games for government approval, and China has objected to some of the content it found in its latest review of World of Warcraft. The state agency vetting the game will soon complete the first round of the process, but the game will have to be resubmitted with some content changes to receive approval, an employee at the official General Administration of Press and Publication said today....
